Flux Led Super How to wire LEDs in series and parallel together?
I have two questions,
1) Its kind of hard for me to understand, but how do you wire LEDs in series to parallel? Do I have to wire a whole group of LEDs in series then connect that group with another group of LEDs connected in series in parallel. Wait a minute, could I connect one row of 8 LEDs in series, then connect in parallel with another row of 8 LEDs?
2) Can I have a resister after 4 LEDs? Like two resisters per row?
I got 6 rows, each row has 8 LEDs super flux. I'm trying to create new LED taillights. Thats all.
Thanks for any help.
you can wire anything in series or parallel. the focus is the power. second is the control. assuming that wiring your leds in either fashion wont blow them, then wire them as you wish to complete your project.
yes you can wire together two seperate strands of series wired leds. either into one long series or into parallel.
as for resisters, well their name says it all. all they do is cause resistance. this in effect, lowers voltage on the output side. this is how you would drop your power input down to an acceptable level in order not to blow a device on a circut.
placing the resister is up to you. it goes where you need it. its also possible to use one bigger resister than two. but since im not appraised of your circut diagram and power, i cant really tell you what you need. suffice to say, you can place a resister where ever it is needed to make your circut work correctly.
