Legality of LED sign in back windshield of car?

I've just moved to what I thought was a nice, quiet suburb. What I've found instead are countless thoughtless morons who tailgate you late at night with their high beams on and bass stereos booming so loud, you can feel it in your lower intestine. I was wondering what the legal status of having a small LED bar placed on my back windshield would be, connected to a keyboard up front with me that comes with several pre-programmed phrases. ("Turn off your brights!" "Stop tailgating me/GET OFF MY ASS!" etc)

I wouldn't want one bright enough to blind the offenders, just speak to them in a way one normally couldn't. I live in Travis CO, Texas.

Those moving letters on the little sign in your back window would make a great target for the gang banger you just pissed off...
