Neon Under Anyone have a solution to mount neon lights under front bumper of a low riding civic?
I have the sides and rear lights installed, but the front part is too low to install without hitting the concrete when i back out of a drive way. Anyone have ideas? Answers are much appreciated!!!
If a Civic was meant to be "low riding" and have "neon lights" under the front bumper (or anywhere else), Honda would have engineered it to come off the assembly line that way.
Take it from a long time Honda & Acura owner, contrary to the folks who think this is "cool", it's not! It just takes a once premium designed factory car and makes it look cheap and screws it up!
The dogmatists, ideologues, and rigid purists of the jazz world have a lot of silly ideas, and one of them is the notion that jazz musicians aren't legitimate unless they are recording a bunch of warhorses that have already been recorded literally hundreds of times over the years. But truth be told, there is absolutely nothing wrong with jazzmen emphasizing their own material as long as they are talented composers -- and Mike Clinco's compositions serve him well on the self-produced Neon. The only song on this 2009 release that the lyrical guitarist didn't write himself is Henry Mancini's "Charade," which Clinco performs in a highly introspective fashion. Everything else on Neon is a Clinco original, and that includes enjoyable post-bop selections like "Sonship," "Bookends, and the Brazilian-flavored "Amalgam." Post-bop dominates Neon, although Clinco ventures into fusion territory when he shows some rock influence on "X Cue Says" and "Beaten Paths." Not only does Clinco (who features saxman/flutist Bob Sheppard and flugelhornist Walt Fowler extensively on this 52-minute CD) reject the dogma that jazz artists are obligated to make overdone standards a high priority on all of their albums -- he also rejects the notion that jazzmen should not allow themselves to be influenced by rock under any circumstances. Most of Neon is straight-ahead post-bop rather than fusion, but even so, the fact that "X Cue Says" and "Beaten Paths" are as rock-influenced as they are demonstrates that Clinco is not opposed to making some fusion moves when he feels it is appropriate. Neon is a solid illustration of Clinco's skills as both a guitarist and a composer. ~ Alex Henderson, Rovi Performers: Darek Oleszkiewicz - Bass (Acoustic); Jimmy Johnson - Bass (Electric), Guitar (Bass); Walt Fowler - Flugelhorn; Bob Sheppard - Flute (Alto), Saxophone, Flute, Sax (Alto), Sax (Tenor); Jimmy Branly - Percussion, Drums; Mike Clinco - Guitar (Electric), Guitar, Guitar (Acoustic)
The Flaming Stars' seventh full-length album finds Max Decharne and his partners in crime still walking the dark alleys of the film noir city they've created in song, and it remains a gloriously dingy place to visit. Suggesting Tindersticks fused with the muscle and attitude of the Bad Seeds, the Flaming Stars spin compelling stories from the sinister corners in the human heart, and Born Under a Bad Neon Sign is every bit as evocative as the pulp paperback illustration that graces its front cover. While broken spirits and lost souls are Decharne's stock in trade, the Cold War anxiety of "Senator McCarthy Paranoid Witch Hunt Blues" and "Cold War One" shows he hasn't lost sight of the larger world, and while there's a conspicuous lack of good vibes on this LP, Decharne's duet with Holly Golightly on the title track is tinged with a regret over lost love that suggests compassion still lurks somewhere within him. Decharne's comrades Huck Whitney on guitar and Joe Whitney on drums work wonders in conjuring the sinister ambience of this music, and they also contribute to the songwriting on several tracks. While the Flaming Stars have a very specific sound and outlook, they clearly haven't run out of new angles to explore, and Born Under a Bad Neon Sign is beautifully troubling music for sleepless nights of the heart and soul. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi Performers: Huck Whitney - Glass, Whistle (Human), Vocals (Background), Guitar, Guitar (Electric), Guitar (Acoustic); Joe Whitney - Autoharp, Vocals (Background), Slide Guitar, Melodica, Guitar (Acoustic), Piano, Drums; Max Decharne - Maracas, Harpsichord, Vocals (Background), Tambourine, Piano, Organ, Vocals; Holly Golightly - Vocals; Mark Hosking - Vocals (Background), Guitar, Guitar (Acoustic), Guitar (Electric); Paul Dempsey - Bass

Under the Arctic Hospital guise, Wisconsin's Eric Bray works a vein of techno that's at once seemingly out of time and now timeless, a melange of approaches from the 1990s -- from classic Detroit techno descended from Derrick May via Plastikman to the early releases on Warp Records (especially Autechre before they went completely out of expected bounds) -- that recombines to elegant, powerful effect. At its most energetic and powerful, as on the driving, slick polyrhythms of "Stepping Back" and the stomping blast of "Neon Seven," the album runs off a huge live wire, working against both restrained minimalism and aggro Ed Banger-style frat-dance in distinct ways. Meanwhile, the big house-happy drum punch on "Encompass" helps Neon Veils feel like a wonderfully uptempo, vibrant summer record, while "Placement by Air" adds more space and very overt dub touches in the mix, slow pacing against the hyperdrive of the beat that adds enjoyable, unexpected depth to the arrangement. ~ Ned Raggett, Rovi

are neon under body kits illegal in west Virginia?
are they, because its either neon or putting a system in my car so i was just wondering. thankyou!
Well the rule is, if you can see the actual light it is illegal in all states. Think of the light, and the glow as separate things. If the tube that houses the light bulbs or neon gas is visible, it is indeed illegal. but since i'm guessing you are installing it under your car like most people, it will be legal. Just try to aviod the blue, or red lights because even though they are legal if installed properly, you may run into a cop that doesn't know what he's doing or is having a bad day and will pull you over for it and say the fact that they're blue or red means they resemble a cop car so they're illegal. I have blue ones, and have gotten pulled over twice, even though i'm 100% sure they are legal, and have only gotten a warning. the time i did get a ticket, i took it to court and found the particular law and got the ticket voided. Most cops don't care about it anyways, who would be stupid enough to think you're a cop when the lights are on the bottom of the car and not flashing?!?
