Car Line Strip Where would I find an LCD to strip across one side of my back speaker dash inside of my car to the other end?
First off, and while your still laughing) it's not illegal I checked : )
Entirely across from one side to the other may be impossible (who would ever make an LCD that long and narrow right?).
So for that reason,..
I've thought about 3 different (10in widescreen) LCD's.
However..
Seperate LCD's means more altering (as far as appearance is concerned). Not to mention the screens can't be too tall (because the law is of course that nothing can block your rear line of sight)
Ultimately, does anyone have any ideas if they wanted a small narrow strip of LCD to appear just above the rear break light on the inside of the back dash of their car (facing outward through the glass of course).
Oh yeah, in case anyone wants to know if I'm crazy or why I'm even doing this,--I'm connecting the monitor(s) to my touchscreen computer already in my car : )
No Seriously, Any Suggestions?...(lol)
Scary part is I'm afraid, is it's only a matter of days before I actually do this.
I would look into "raw frame" monitors that have no casing on them. You would be able to get them very close to each other for an almost seamless look. If you're into customizing as much as it sounds like you are, you undoubtedly either know how to do fiberglass work or know someone who can do it for you. Create a custom fiberglass bezel for the three monitors to fit your back dash. As far as providing a suitable signal for the three monitors I would look into digital signage companies who have hardware/software solutions that will allow you to manipulate an image so that it can be displayed correctly on three monitors displaying 1.78:1 in a row of three. Lots more to it but that's the basics of my answer. hope it helps.

What is the longest distance between home and destination when it's worth it to fly instead of drive?
For example, for me to fly 400 miles, i have to do the following:
Drive to airport - 45 minutes
Park and walk to ticket counter - 25 minutes
Check bags and get boarding pass - 30 minutes
Go through security - 30 minutes
At gate 45 minutes early, per required by airport - 45 minutes wasted.
Scheduled air time- 60 minutes
Plane lands industry-average 22 minutes late - 22 minutes wasted.
Finally get off plane after all the retards ahead of you finally get their ass moving. 25 minutes
Get luggage and head for rental car line - 35 minutes
Get rental car and find it in the parking lot - 30 minutes.
Total time - almost 6 hours of utter misery.
If I would have just got in my car and driven this 400 miles, it would have taken me a hair over 6 hours - in my own happy car, all by myself, with no one coughing on me, or strip searching me at the security checkpoint, and no terrorists slitting my throat.
That is sooo effin funny...and soooo true!
Some years ago I was in one state...a colleage in another. We were headed for Ontario, Canada. I flew, he drove....he beat me to our destination by about 4 hours. and it's not like we were all that far apart driving-wise....about the same.
I feel your pain....it IS a wicked pain in the a.s.s to fly. But then you have all the dumbasses that won't budge out of the left lane when you need to pass other cars.......(sigh).
