hi all,
i have two in car cameras :-dvr/video truck car with night vision 12 volt power,
these cameras have two lights ( led's ) one that tells you if it is charging and the other if it is recording to sd card, these cameras record your journeys and are for collecting evidence in case of accidents,
now on my way back from france these led's started to get dimmer and half way back they went out altogether, they still recorded the journey but now if i want to use them i cannot tell if they are recording or if they are charging, pressing the record button nothing happens so dont know if it's recording or not,
is there anyone out there who knows about these cameras who can help me out to try and get these led's working please, i am not what you would call an expert with electronical equipment,

How do I add accessories to my fuse box?
I am looking to add an LED lighting string to the truck of my car. It will be controlled by a rocker switch. I don't want to run a dedicated power cable from the battery for such a low power circuit so I wanted to run it through the fuse box. How do I use the open spots in my fuse box?
you can find a wrie such as the accessory or 12v key power wire like you use to wire up your head unit and that would allow you to run the wire via your switch without starting a new one and when the key is on it will work.

Hid White Headlight why are my hid headlights white and not blue?
i just finished installing my hid headlights the low beams are blue but high beams are white i guess there 6000k??? i have a honda civic 2000 and can i switch the hids from white to blue or what should i do im not very good with cars btw

What are the chances of getting pulled for foreign (JDM) non-HID headlights?
I'm considering to purchase a pair of JDM headlights with white beams, but am concerned about the legality. They are not HID, however, according to the seller they are not DOT/SAE approved. What are the chances I'll get pulled over for these?
FYI I live in California.
Who knows? You may or may not be stopped by a police man who is interested in your headlights. The biggest concern is the alignment. If they are notably high or low they could easily attract police attention. I saw a driver stopped for a set of Lucas 'Flame Thrower' driving lights because he wouldn't cut them for approaching traffic, one of which was a state trooper. However, if they're not DOT approved there's always a chance they'll catch them on the safety inspection and flunk you.

want to pull car with adjustable tow bar?
I want to pull my car with a adjustable tow bar to take to 2 hours away to get it fix. If I pull it with the adjustable tow bar would the transmission mess up like that? If so what else can I do?
If the cat has a manual transmission you should be OK for flat towing.
If the car has an automatic transmission, and is rear wheel drive, you can remove the drive shaft and flat tow it. An automatic front wheel drive car (other than certain Saturn models) can not be flat towed without causing transmission damage.
A much better choice would be a tow dolly, where the drive wheels are off the ground.
