I have a 05 jeep liberty and want to upgrade the headlights for better vision. I have seen Xenon lights (just bulbs) advertised as plug and and play - no wiring needed, is this bull? Do I need the HID conversion kit? ballasts?
Someone told me that they used bulbs without upgrading harness and the wiring melted, has anyone else had this experience?
hids are the best way to go and you can get some brand new off ebay for like 65 but any where else its like a buck 50

Defective HID Ballast
HID High Beam Problem - 10 POINTS?
Okay after having trouble with my hid ballast I finally got them to work. My blue connector that I plugged into my stock harness wires I believe are in the correct slots. The lights work, but my high beam is backwards. When I flip to highs there are actually low and when they are suppose to be on lows they are on high. Also I only have a high beam in one of my hid's, my driver side, the passenger doesn't have a high beam for some reason. What can be the problem?
My recommendation is to go to someone who install's Hid's for a living and ask them.... they can pin point the problem... we just can Try to help you..... without actually helping you. we might even make it worse.
Xenon White Hid I have just bought the 2007 nissan altima 2.5sl. What type of hid xenon lights do i install?
I have read the manual and it requires a H11 55w halogen bulb. If i replace that bulb with a H11 pure white xenon bulb will that work?
Save your money, tests show the aftermarket "upgrade" bulbs do little if nothing. If they were that good, and relatively cheap, the manufacturers would use them.

HID Xenon Headlight Operation
Xenon lights question? help?
i recently bought a 2009 acura tl.. Love the car but i have a question about the lights. It seems that the xenon hid in the 2009 tl are more white looking but in the 2008 acura tl they have a more purple look. is there a way to get the more purple look? is it just a bulb?
All it is is a higher temperature bulb, but the light's housing can make it look more purplish, blueish, etc. Since you bought a totally redesigned TL, I'm thinking that it has more to do with the housing design, and not so much bulb temp. I think (I'm not a 100% sure) that most Acuras have a 6000K bulb. You could switch them with a higher temperature bulb, but check your laws... many high temp. bulbs are illegal and blind oncoming traffic.

or is it possibly just the lighting? Either way just wondering which color the lg xenon really is in blue
Hi, I just got the LG Xenon. Yes the internet can be so devious. I can say that the LG Xenon is a deep vivid blue. ( 1st picture) The LG Xenon is a great phone, & I hope you'll enjoy it.
can i take the hids out of a maxima with the box and put it in my camry like join the positive to positive and black to black or would i have to put a relay and whats the third wire
You should run them threw a set of relays. and the third wire is most likely a Daytime running light wire.

"HID Lights are a great way to give your vehicle custom ultra-bright headlights. You just replace your factory headlights bulbs with the HID kit. HID kits burn a lot hotter than your factory bulbs, and are therefore brighter. The wattage, which indicates the heat and therefore color, ranges from 6000k up to 10000k for APS HID lights, with 10000k being the hottest. The 6000k is an amber/yellow tint, the 8000k is closer to white, and the 10000k has a blue tint.;;;;High Intensity Discharge (HID) is the latest technology in automotive lighting. It replaces the filament of the light bulb with xenon gas by utilizing the gas discharge principle, an arc of light is created between two electrodes in a small capsule filled with a mixture of xenon gas and halide salts. When high voltage is applied, the gas is ignited to produce an arc of light."

That add doesn't even mention what brand of bulbs they are, etc, etc. You know it's some cheap made in China crap. I would be worried more about my car electrical system getting fried. The cheapest HIDs I've seen worth buying were about $250 and used name brand everything.
