Is there an LED light bulb that will screw into a regular light bulb socket?

I want to buy one for my aquarium because they are so much brighter, but I'm not sure if ti will screw into a regular light bulb socket or not. Please let me know. Also, which are brighter, incandescents or compact fluorescents?

Yes, there are, but they're really expensive to buy and there's still kind of limited choice. Saw some chandelier base ones at Costco last week. Brightness depends on the individual bulb. You have to check the lumens to know for sure which bulb will be brighter. Watt for watt, CFLs are brighter. I think a 23 watt CFL is supposed to give about the same light as a 100 watt incandescent.

No. A 60 watt light fixture means that the fixture can handle the heat generated by a 60 watt incandescent lamp. A 13 watt LED bulb produces a lot less heat than a 60 watt incandescent bulb.

However LED bulbs can a fail due to excessive heat build up, which can happen in enclosed fixtures. The wattage rating of the fixture has nothing to do with whether the fixture is suitable for LED bulbs.

Your computer is going to "Soft Off" or stand by mode instead of shut down.
I would start by right clicking on your desktop (NOT on an icon) and clicking properties) Click "Screen Saver" tab, and click Power at the bottom of the window. Click advanced tab that comes up.. it will say:
"When I press the power button on my computer:
Shut down."
If it does not say shut down, that may be your problem. Change it to shut down, click apply, ok, apply, ok, close.

Try shutting down.

Sounds to me like you are confusing a calorimeter with a spectrophotometer. Calorimeters measure the enthalpy of fusion or delta E,s and H.s By using ice or consummation of products.

Lipstick that won't come off?

Ok this is the third and hopefully last in a series of embarrassing questions. Some girls gave me a heckuva payback and among other things put makeup on me. The lipstick they used was in a green tube and they also used a brush on top of that. Anyway, I can't seem to get it off. I'm still working on the mascara which I'm sure is waterproof and everything else has come off, but I haven't had any luck with the lipstick. Any idea what it is or how to get it off? The tube was light green not bright.
Well as to what I deserved its been a series of escalating pranks I suppose. As to how they did it there were 4 of them and 1 of me. They tied me to a chair and went to town. I may need to run out and get vaseline, but if I do revenge will be mind ::evil laugh here::

Try Vaseline or any petroleum based product, like Neosporin. Vaseline will take off any kind of eye makeup as well as permanent lipsticks.

Worst case, nail polish remover will work. It will dry the hell out of your lips though.

Is Mechanical Engineering the right career path for me?

I'm a twenty-six year old mother and I just finished my first semester in college. I'm thinking of majoring in Mechanical Engineering because it seems to be the most flexible, in terms of career choices, of all the engineering majors. However, what I eventually want to do is help to develop green technologies related to building and building design. Is M.E. the right choice for me, as far as, a major is concerned for my career direction, or might something else be a better option for me? Creative suggestions welcomed.

Major in Mechanical engineering with a concentration in Energy/Environment. It might be called something different, but you focus on technical problems related to energy efficiency, renewable energy, environmental issues, global warming, etc...

This is the one at my school. Look for something similar at your local university.

You could also major in Environmental Engineering (under Civil Engineering branch). It's a little different (but still similar). More Chemistry oriented. Remember that Civil Engineers are the people who design buildings/structures. Maybe this is what you are looking for.
