Strip Light Red What does the red light on my power strip / surge protector switch mean?
It used to be constantly on, then it started to flicker, and now it is completely off. Is this okay? There are two other green LEDs that are solid on, one of which is the surge protection light.

The red light simply means the front end is getting power. The green lights are more important secondary circuits and this shows they have have power, and are working properly. The red L.E.D. is just out, don't worry about it, won't hurt a thing. When the green ones go out, you have likely lost power to the protector. If the Green ones turn red, replace immediately. Make sure all your equipment is connected to this surge protector, and that the wall and protector have good ground connection. (the third point on the plug) This will help to eliminate ground loops, and noise induced into your system. I am not a fan of running your TV cable into these surge protectors either, just more signal loss. For surge and/or lightning protection of these, make sure the cable is grounded at the outside of the house where it enters your house. Should be attached to the, or a, 8 foot rod buried in the gound.
You want to really be trick, dump your surge protector and get an AC line conditioner. A true conditioner, not a kinda sorta one. A real conditioner will be nearly the size of your stereo! These bring in the AC signal and filter out the noise, and keep it at a constant voltage before sending it to your equipment. The good ones actually make a new signal out of the old.

Tonight I stripped my hair and it left a little bit of red in it and I wanted to dye it blue...well it turned out green! Yea it sucks and I hate it. So my question is how soon can I strip it again and dye it a more natural color, like light red, blondish so it looks normal!
