Led Turn Signals Are red led lights as turn signals in the mirror not on the front illegal in texas?
I been thinking of buying new mirrors for both sides i came upon these which have little arrows on the mirror I was wondering if it was legal to have they have nothing in the back cover only on the mirror itself. I live in texas any help?

LED Turn Signal Mirrors?
I bought the aftermarket turn-signal mirrors for my car. When i hooked them up right to my turnsignal light's wires, it doesnt work, but if i hook it up to those same wires using a relay (still getting the power from the lights) they work fine... can someone explain this to me and are there any other ways i can do this? PS. Worked on car electronics for 10+ years...
I'm thinking that it has something to do with the old style thermal flasher unit, its an 86 Celica GT-S. Does this make sense?
it seems as though when you connect the lights directly, the resistance is too high so the thermal flasher will not get hot enough to flash. do they light up, but not flash when connected directly or do they not light up at all? i'm guessing they light up, but just don't flash. i suggest just using the relay if you find a decent place to hide it. hope this helps.

black is the hardest color to keep clean that there is,its also one of the nicest looking colors to look at when its all clean,but i been through it with a camaro,even though it looked very nice ,it was impossible to keep it clean,and at times the dust would create the spider web look on the paint,so you might want to think about a different color,other wise you,ll spend a lot of time cleaning it,and less time driving and enjoying it,good luck with your decision.

Blackout the taillights?
I just got a V6 Altima coupe and its the blue one. I was wondering if it would look right if I blacked out the taillights? Oh Iw as thinking about lowering it and putting some HID's on it. I need to know a good way of blacking out my taillights and if its removable and what else should I do to my car without hurting my warranty on it . Thanks !
Blackouts look cool but be careful, it is illegal in most states and if it isn't removable, you'll be buying new taillights.

Turn signals don't work when headlights are on?
I just hooked up my led's in the back of my truck and noticed that when my headlights are off, I have blinkers on both sides front and back but when my lights are on, no blinkers anywhere. I changed the bulbs and sockets in the front. Reason for changing the sockets was that it wasn't getting a good connection with the bulb. Anyway, it didn't fix my problem. I thought it may be the flasher but since the flasher works when the lights are off, i don't know. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
It cant be the ground, because you have to have ground for when you have the headlights off too, so that's not the problem. I would say that it is the wiring.

Signal Flexible Hi. My question is regarding types of coax that can be used to carry digital audio signals.?
Basically I am building a new house and am setting up 2 audio systems for 2 locations within the house. I want to try and make use of digital audio outs from my computer and some other sources so I am runnig cables to suit. The distances aren't great probably 10 to 20 metres. It doesn't seem possible and certainly not economical to buy ready made digital audio coax cables to suit.
I actually work in the surveillance industry and use alot of RG59bu coax cable for video signals. It is more flexible than the standard RG6 used for TV transmission. Can I just use this cable and fit gold plated RCA connectors at each end? It is 75 ohm, which seems to be listed on all the specs for ready made cables. Or is there a specific type I must use? Also are those distances an issue? I would appreciate some advice. Thanks
I've done quite a bit of structured wiring and we used RG6, so the RG59bu should be OK, especially for the short distances you are talking about. Yes buying premade cables would be to expensive and probably of lesser quality if you guy good connectors.
If you wish you could upgrade to Quad Shield RG6. More expensive but hey, one more thing to brag about.
I'd also run lots of cat5e while you are at it, it cant hurt and you never know when it will come in handy for that either net, audio, phone, and even video.
