How do I tell if my ECU is bad for my civic? There is an indicator light that keeps blinking.?

When the light is flashing does that mean it's okay?

if its blinking then it might be working. they sometimes blink a engine code for you to read. when they are dead then theres no blinking.

How do I fix a right turn indicator that activates hazards on a 07 Mazda 6?

Sometime this morning I noticed that when I activate the right turn indicator it now causes the hazard lights to flash instead. Something I did wrong to cause this? What do I need to do? All 4 lights blink when I activate the hazard, through the hazard switch or the right turn indicator. Body is a 2007 Mazda 6.

hmm possibly sounds like a shorted multifunction switch, this usually controls hazard lights and your turn signals, wipers and sometimes many other things. I would suspect this. You can also test this and see if it is shorted by checking out a wiring schematic, or if you have an identical switch, another idea would be to take and complete the circuit that the switch is supposed to complete in the right turn and if the right turn lights blink as they should, then it is a problem in the switch, if not then you have a wiring issue. also you will want to disable the air bag system most likely before you begin working on this just to be safe

Can someone give me some suggestions on my pokemon blue lineup?

im entering a tournament at my school and these are the ones i think i should develop

-dragonite (would teach fire and electric)
-snorlax
-electrode (for its speed and explosion)
-gyrados (would have surf, hydro pump, earthquake, hyperbeam)
-alakazam
-hypno (dreameater??)
-chansey (could teach basically anything)
-aerodactyl (would teach hyper beam and rock moves)
-jynx (ice)

i know its more than 6 but its a start, any suggestions?
oh and mew and mewtwo are banned from the tournament

start with dragonite, gyrados, alakazam, aerodactyl, snorlax, and either jinx or chansey. dragonite and gyrados can literally carry u if theyre at high enough levels. snorlax is extremely hard to kill and can do some good damage. id try to get gyrados and dragonite as high a level as u can

How do you get your dog to not be so hyper all the time?

I have a lab/ blue heeler puppy. He's probably six months old and hes always hyper like uncontrollably and he jumps on people and scratched them and makes them bleed.We try to discipline him but nothing seems to work

Sounds like he needs more exercise. Give him more long walks, take him to the park and throw a toy for him, etc. Particularly with how young he is, he's going to be hyper, not much you can really do to change that. That's how puppies are.

You can also give him "busy toys", like a Kong stuffed with food, or the Everlasting Treat Ball or even the edible Nylabones or other bones to keep him entertained if he's getting hyper indoors.

what is the best hid conversion kit for my car?

i have a 2001 mustang and i want the blue/white headlights. ive realized that i need a hid kit for this so im wondering what the best kit would be? im looking for a bulb temperature of around 5000k-8000k. im also trying to keep it under $200. i need a 9007 model size. please tell me what brand and where i should order from. thanks a lot!

getting an hid kits for a 9007 bulb can be confusing so let em square you away on what you may find out on the market.

To start, the 9007 halogen bulb is a dual filament bulb which has two coils inside, one for high beam, and one for low beam. The car switches between them when you switch form high to lo beam though they are both contained in a single 9007 bulb.

When you buy an HID kit for a 9007 you will get one of 4 different types of hid bulbs. ***take note, that unless you ask, vendors will usually just sell you s et for "9007" and don't usually say which one they have, the price will usually correspond to what you are getting. additionally some come with relay harness some don't.

9007-1 bulbs have a single HID bulb and when installed, you will have no high beam function. these will be found in the cheapest of sets usually with no relay harness

9007-2 bulbs have an hid bulbs, and a halogen bulb together. When you switch to high beam, the halogen will turn on and the hid will turn off. It is very useless because the halogen is not as bright as the HID. With some modification, you could make it so the halogen is low beam, and the HID is high beam, though when you turn on your high beam, you will have very little light in front of your car until the bulb warms up. these are more affordable hi/lo options and will include a relay harness usually.

9007-3 hid bulbs have a single HID bulb that is retracted in and out, or moved side to side to create two beam patterns, this is most similar to the original halogen bulb that had two coils in different locations, when switching from low to high beam beam the light source remains the same so you have hid light for both, and there is no need to wait for it to warm up. somewhat more costly than 9007-2, these always include a relay harness also.

9007-4 kits are very expensive and have two HID light sources in each bulb, and require two ballasts for each bulb, the down side is when you switch to high beam, you must wait for the second hid to warm up. Few vendors sell these, and those that do sell them for a lot of money.

what makes a quality kit is the ballast more than the bulbs. there are digital ballasts, and analog ballasts, they look identical until you rip them open and look inside. Ballasts with digital lamp voltage monitoring will extend bulb life by ~130% of what it would be with an analog ballast by reducing wear on the bulbs electrodes, this could add over 1000hour of burn time to your bulbs simply by having better ballasts.

As bulbs wear in the voltage required to run them gets higher, eventually a ballast won't be able to produce a high enough voltage to run the bulb, and the bulb will be "dead" Better ballast will have higher voltage output capabilities offering longer bulb life, this again, is something not mentioned in ads, but the short story is that more costly ballasts will usually have higher voltage output capabilities.

Some cheap ballasts have low surge capabilities, and may actually do damage to themselves every time you ignite the bulb, beware of ballast with 10 amp max current handling capability, these are common to be found on ebay, and in vvme products.

Contrary to popular belief, PHILIPS hid conversion kits are not "the best" the reason being is because Philips NO LONGER MAKES HID CONVERSION KITS since they became illegal.

Philips only makes d2 and d4 series replacement bulbs, and ballasts for OEM applications. All of the philips conversion kits you see on the web are fake, (like the fake designer handbags you see at flea markets) Though they are usually good hid kits, they are not the best, and they arnt made by philips. They certainly arnt worth the 400 dollar price tag either. Remember, philips does not make halogen bulbs like h11, h7, 9006, 9005, 9007 etc in HID, they only make d2 and d4 series of bulbs anything else is fake.

HID kits are illegal to install in projection style headlamps, such as the ones that came factory in your mustang, thoiugh, many peopel do it, and inspection statioins really dont care anymore to the point where they usually just let peopel through, at least where i live, im sure it varries from place to place.

So thats the scoop on HIDs, I hope it is helpfull and you learned a lot about HIDs.

Which HID Xenon Bulb will give me a pure white color for a 2004 BMW 325i sedan?

My nieces 2004 BMW 325i sedan comes equipped with Factory Xenon headlights, I believe they are 4300K but they don't look as white as they do like on the current 09-011 BMW models. I want to put new HID/Xenon bulbs for his Factory headlights, which one will give a pure white like those in the newer luxury cars?? I don't want them put off blue light, I want them to look like they came with the car only whiter. 5000K , 6000K ?? Thanks GUYS!!

His Factory xenon headlights already have 4300K but they look white with a yellow hue, which "K" will give the car a Pure white color.

5000k to 6000k, the higher the "k" the higher into the ultraviolet spectrum the light output will be.

4300k, older Xenon's, white/yellow
5000k, pure white
6000k, pure white w/ hint of blue ---this is what most new BMW's will be running---
8000k, light blue

What is the best material (gravel, blue metal etc) to make a road in soft clay on salinty affected land?

The land varies between sandy loam and clay. It is quite hard in summer but very boggy in winter. I need to create a solid permanent access road that can be used throughout the year.

how do i mix RIT dye to get a soft Robin Egg's Blue shade?

I've seen the color chart on their website, and I understand I need to use a small amount of Evening Blue to get a light blue, but I want to end up with a soft , very light aqua/Robin Egg Blue color. I'm not sure which other color of powder dye to add, if any? I plan to dye white cotton fabric. Thanks!

I would avoid Rit Dye. Rit Dye is just awful. I once dyed a pair of jeans with Rit and they turned my legs black every time I wore them, even after many washings. I finally just threw the jeans in the trash.

Dylon Dye is a much more colorfast, and I think you'll be happier with it. It also comes in "light blue", so you wouldn't have to try to make Evening Blue come out light...the dye would just make that color for you. You can buy Dylon over the Internet. I recommend using at least 2 packs of the dye, tho:
