Undercar lighting problem!?

I bought a couple of the Prism LED strips for use inside the car as a little mood effect. They work quite nicely but the only trouble is that when I turn them on they are on constant whilst I would rather have some of the chases. There is a button on the side but this is only useful when it is switched on.

Does anyone else have these lights or could advise if and how I can get them to default to my chosen effect each time they are switched on?

Seems to be a little confusion.

First up, I drive vehicles with blue flashy lights for a living so I know what's illegal and when and where they can be used.

Second, the confusion is in the title, these lights can be used under the car but I have put them in the footwells' of the car.

Sorry dude I thing these lights are only on or off.
