Xenon Headlights Hid help with HID xenon head lights?
I have a bmw 320 E46 2002 facelifted. I am looking to put Xenon headlights in my car, but there are so many kit's out there? I seen on ebay the normal HID coversion kit with the ballasts and 2 xenon bulbs, but i have also seen 'Projector Bi-Xenon' kits. Can you not just get a single projector xenon kit. Can somebody help I really don't know what's legal and what's the better option?
A car with regular halogen bulbs should not have HID's fitted. The light cluster produces an incorrect light scatter pattern. If you have projection lenses then that would be fine.

Bi Xenon – The Way To Go If You Are Considering Installing HID Xenon Headlights In Your Car
The lure of HID xenon lamps is something that is easy to understand once you realize how much better these lamps are than regular halogen lamps. First and foremost, HID xenon lamps perform exactly as their name - High Intensity Discharge lamps – suggests. They produce large amounts of light, much more so than regular halogen lamps. This is a great boon to drivers who travel frequently at night on unlit roads, where their headlights are their only source of illumination.
Among the slew of great HID xenon products being offered by manufacturers are bi xenon headlights. These are particularly efficient and cost-saving headlights that make use of HID xenon technology. Bi xenon headlights are so efficient and such great products that many manufacturers offer lifetime warranties with their products. With bi xenon headlights, headlights have gone from being merely utilitarian parts of cars to an integral part of their style and appearance. Bi xenon headlights also throw light much farther than regular headlights. For drivers not confident about driving at night, bi xenon headlights will give them that much-needed confidence boost.
Bi xenon headlights also feature a new and technologically advanced design. Unlike regular headlights, which are installed in groups of four, bi xenon headlights only require two individual lamps. With traditional headlights, two lamps would be used for regular headlights while the other two were angled downwards to provide the dipped headlight function. With bi xenon headlights, however, the two lamps are used to provide for both functions. The lamps are either angled downward by motors when dipped headlights are required or reflectors are moved into place to redirect the light downwards.
Also, regular headlights are easily damaged or worn out by constant shocks and heat. The shocks come from traveling over less well-paved roads and heat is generated by the filaments in the bulbs themselves. With bi xenon headlights, however, there are no filaments to be damaged and they are thus much more resistant to the wear and tear that results from regular use.
So if you are thinking about installing HID xenon headlights in your car, you should definitely think about installing bi xenon headlights. With these headlights, barring exceptional circumstances, you will never need to change your headlights again. You will also be doing your part for the environment by removing your need for replacement halogen bulbs.
